Money is one of those forbidden topics. Along with politics and religion, you’re not supposed to talk about money in most settings. At least, that is what I have always been told. I guess it’s because so many of us have such a charged and difficult relationship with money. Those of us who do not have it tend to envy those of us who do have it. And those of us who do have it tend to want to keep it for ourselves rather than share it with others.
